Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Thai Boxer Companion ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how it's used, and your choices. The short version: there are no accounts, we don't sell or share your data, and the only information that leaves your device is what's needed to run the two AI features you explicitly use.

Information We Collect

The app does not require you to create an account or provide a name, email, or any other identifying information to use it.

• Progress and settings - your lesson progress, streaks, XP, workout history, and preferences (language, sound, reminder time) are stored only on your device, using standard on-device storage. We never receive this data on our servers.
• Camera photos (AI Coach Check-In feature) - if you use the coach check-in feature to get feedback on your form, the photos you take are sent to our server and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. We do not store these photos after the request completes.
• Voice recordings (Pronunciation Practice feature) - if you use the pronunciation-scoring feature, your recording is sent to our server, converted to the audio format Microsoft Azure's Speech service requires, and forwarded to Azure for scoring. The temporary audio file is deleted from our server immediately after scoring - we do not keep a copy.
• Local notifications - if you enable workout reminders, they're scheduled entirely on your device by the operating system. No notification data is sent to us or to any push-notification server.

We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or any tool that profiles you across apps or websites.

How We Use Third-Party Services

Two features in the app rely on third-party AI services to work. When you use them, the specific content you submit (a photo, or a voice recording) is sent to that provider solely to generate the result you asked for:

• Anthropic (Claude API) - processes photos you submit to the AI Coach Check-In feature. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Azure AI Speech - processes voice recordings you submit to the Pronunciation Practice feature. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

These features are optional. If you don't grant camera or microphone permission, or don't use those specific screens, nothing is ever sent to either provider - the app falls back to letting you self-rate your practice instead.

Data Retention

We do not maintain user accounts or a database of your personal content. Photos and audio submitted to the AI features above are processed and then deleted from our server immediately - typically within seconds. Your lesson progress lives only on your own device and is removed if you uninstall the app or use the in-app "Reset Progress" option.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Choices

• Camera and microphone access are both optional and can be denied or revoked at any time in your device's Settings app - the app remains fully usable without them.
• You can clear all locally stored progress at any time from Settings → Reset Progress.
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

International Data Transfers

Because Anthropic and Microsoft Azure operate infrastructure in the United States and other countries, using the AI Coach Check-In or Pronunciation Practice features means your submitted photo or recording may be processed outside your own country.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
